Having researched and thoroughly investigated Elite Competitions Ace Prize have decided to give them a trust rating of 4.3 meaning that Elite Competitions are a recommended provider.

This assessment has been made after detailed consideration of the facts and information listed below in accordance with our Trust Rating guidelines.

 

ABOUT ELITE COMPETITIONS

Established back in 2015 Blackpool based Elite Competitions originally shot to fame in 2018 when they appeared on BBC’s prime time show Dragon’s Den receiving offers from two Dragons.

Despite not being able to agree terms with the Dragons they proceeded to expanded the business and moved to state of the art offices in 2020 where they employ 12 members of staff. They have gone on to become pioneers in the ever expanding prize draw industry in the U.K.

Elite Comps offer a wide selection of prizes with high end sports car, Rolex watches and large cash prizes the mainstay of the site.

In recent times they have shifted focus to their ‘InstaWin’ prize draws which are run like a standard draw with a main prize, but offer the chance to win prizes straight after a ticket is purchased. Often the instant prizes are of significantly higher value than the main prize itself.

Elite Competitions are extremely well established with a track record dating back to 2015. They claim to be the UK’s original online competition company, a big claim indeed.

Elite Comps have had huge national press coverage as you might expect and are regularly featured in national media, they even make an appearance on Fleetwood Town football club’s shirt whom they sponsor.

They have an enormous following on social media with 195 thousand followers on Facebook and over 51000 on Instagram alone at the time of writing.

Having given away over 224 thousand prizes to date totalling over £55 million they are extremely well established in the comping world.

They are a relatively large competitions company with a sizeable team of 12 staff working behind the scenes adding further to their creditability.

Elite Competitions business seems to be run in a very professional manner with a huge amount of positive reviews and feedback gained online (over 8700+ reviews on Trust Pilot alone with a very respectable 4.4 average at the time of writing).

Their customer support appears to be good.

The quality and variation of the prizes are extremely high.

Their website and app are both exceptional and extremely user friendly.

 

FAIRNESS 4.1/5

Elite Competitions appear to run all of their competitions in a fair manner with acceptable terms and conditions. They appear to be fully legally compliant with free entry routes or skill based questions on offer for competitions ensuring full legal compliance. Elite Comps were one of the earliest competition sites to shift towards the free postal entry route, an idea that has since become the industry standard.

They actively encourage responsible play and have a link to Gamcare on their site which is a welcome addition.

Competitions have live draws on social media (on their Facebook and You Tube channels). They have very good feedback in regard to draws with many winners listed on social media over a number of years.

Elite Comps use a verified random lottery ball machine called Bernie to complete the draws.

Prize winners are contacted often immediately after the draw live on the stream by phone and are allocated in a timely manner as per reviews.

Competitions in have a fixed closing time and date with no extension period, which means that the draw will always go ahead regardless of ticket sales. This fair approach means a transparent and fair competition for all and no frustration in regards to extended draws.

There is however a major lack of odds transparency with their so called ‘InstaWin’ (instant win) competitions which have become the main competition on their site.

It can be incredibly difficult to work out your expected return due to the complexities in regard to the number of prizes on offer (many of which may have been won already) and fluctuating ticket prices. This makes it almost impossible to work out whether a competition is reasonable value or not.

There are currently no users reviews for this provider on Ace Prize, however reviews elsewhere are very positive in general with very little negative feedback. The providers Facebook page has been taken down for an unknown reason at the time of writing which was a minor cause for concern, however the Facebook reviews were very favourable prior to this which should address much of this issue.
